No, because trans women can have penises. I think the only reason that male circumcision isn’t illegal here is because it’s practiced by Christians, the largest religious demographic in the US. If it were a Hindu thing, it’d be banned.
Well, the argument would be that trans women were gendered as men at infancy, and treated as such.
I do agree that there is a strong Judeo-Christian bias at work here, and that perhaps if that was a Hindu thing it would be banned. My thinking is that the fact that we’re a Judeo-Christian culture and the fact that we practice/accept circumcision are not incidental.
