I have basically had to put forth no effort at all though.
The OB who works with my midwife is also a family doctor, and I’ve seen him a few times for random things, today for my GD (which by the way he told me that my numbers were perfect and I was obviously well disciplined so it shouldn’t cause any problems). He’s seemed cool about everything, but we found out that he is apparently the person who does all of the circumcisions at the hospital we are going to.
So I asked him what he thought about it.
“I seriously don’t care if you do or don’t.”
“Okay, I mean like… let’s say my son gets a UTI. Are you going to recommend anti-biotics or cutting off his foreskin like other doctors?”
“No no. It is literally the equivalent of a nose job. I don’t see any valid medical reason to do it. I just do the procedures because people will do it anyways and I want it done right. Frankly, it makes my life easier because it’s one less circumcision I have to do.”
The guy who does all of the circumcisions at my hospital compared it to a nose job, omg.
Michael laughed so hard.
Yeah interesting, though personally I don’t see myself bringing up the issue in this casual a manner unless I expect the other person to share my views.
