I agree that is a totally reasonable pursuit for some people, but there is a lot of uncertainly and sacrifice involved. You’re also attempting to alter your body in a dramatic way and that introduces the potential for dysphoria—that’s a big reason why I’ve avoided restoration in the past. It’s also a significant time commitment that potentially imposes restrictions on your lifestyle, in addition to have a learning curve, so it’s not necessarily for everyone.
